The human brain seems hell bent on creating meaning and truth where there is none—and denying truth and meaning where it is undeniable.

The way things are and are not

The fact that things are not as they seem is both distressing and a relief.

That while this may mean that some of the things I think are true—probably are not true, it also means that some of the things I think are not true—probably are true.

We all too often do not have the wisdom to know the difference.
